LibreOffice is open source personal productivity suite for Windows,
Macintosh and GNU/Linux, that gives applications for all your document
production and data processing needs. LibreOffice has 6 application that
will help you to processing your documents, there are Writer, Calc,
Impress, Draw, Math and Base. LibreOffice not installed on Backtrack 5
by default so we must install it manually. Here the tutorial of
installing LibreOffice on Backtrack 5
First download LibreOffice from http://www.libreoffice.org/download/
Extract the file that you have downloaded
After you extract it, go to the DEBS directory
Install the deb package
And the last step is integrated the LibreOffice in the application menu

tar xzfv [LibreOffice file]
After you extract it, go to the DEBS directory
cd [extracted LibreOffice dir]/DEBS
Install the deb package
sudo dpkg -i *.deb
And the last step is integrated the LibreOffice in the application menu
cd
[extracted LibreOffice dir] /DEBS/desktop-integration
sudo dpkg -i libreoffice3.5-debian-menus_3.5-202_all.deb
